If you are planing on traveling to China you will require a visa before arriving at immigration. The Chinese government doesn't grant visitor visas to ex-pats applying in Taiwan. However if you do have a valid ARC for the time you plan to visit China we can assist you with a visa. If you don't have an ARC then we have listed some possibilities for you below.

Option # 1
If you have a valid ARC in Taiwan WHOSE Travel can assist you with your visa.
  • Single-entry (1 month) - Costs are from NT 4000 depending on your nationality.
  • A minimum of 10 business days are required to process your visa.
  • Documentation you must supply to us.
    • Passport
    • two 2 inch photos
    • Copy of the front and back of your ARC.
    • Visa processing fee.
Option # 2
If you don't have a valid ARC in Taiwan and just plan to transfer through Hong Kong.

China Travel Service (HK) Ltd has visa issuing offices at the airport in Hong Kong and are the fast, convenient way to get a visa to the China mainland. It is a booth named China travel to the left as you come out of the baggage claim area. It is in the A area as there is also one in the B area but doesn't do one day visas.

Drop off before 11:15 can pick up at 3:30
Drop off after 11:15 before 14:00 can pick up at 18:30
Cost is around HK$ 1000 for same day service.

Option # 3
If you do plan to stay in Hong Kong for more than 1 day.

Visit the visa office in Hong Kong to process your visa yourself.

They can do same day processing for an extra fee but the most common service is next day service. You would need to get it in office early for either drop off or pick up. If returning to collect your visa at 2:00 it pays to get there early as people line up outside before the doors open.

Option # 4

There are 3 border crossings. All of them have immediate, 5 day visitor visas for approximatly 200RMB (NT 900). The borders are:

1)Shekou - You can take a ferry direct from the airport (you don't have to collect your luggage. Once you buy your ferry ticket they will check your luggage for you to the port inShekou) to Shekou. This office CLOSES at 5PM so if you are too late you have to take a ferry back to Hong Kong.

2)Futian - You can also catch a bus from the airport to the futian border, buy visa and cross- This office also CLOSES at 5PM. If you are to late you can go to Louhu.
